Guardian Home Program
We started doing guardian homes for our new prospective females that we are adding to our breeding program. The basic description is below. We really have enjoyed breeding over the last 11 years, but as my children are growing up and I have less helpers, this is a great way to still have a good program and allows our girls to get more attention than I am able to give to multiple dogs and allows them to be in a permanent home. We plan to do 1-2 new Guardian Female Pups per year. I will add the new potential pups here and on my Facebook page as one comes available. This is a great opportunity to get a fantastic puppy for a significantly reduced price with some bonus incentive. If you think it is something you might be interested in and have any questions or would like to see the tentative contract, feel free to text me.
GUARDIAN HOME PROGRAM
A guardian home program is an arrangement where a family provides a permanent, loving home for a dog that legally belongs to a breeder until they have fulfilled contract for agreed upon number of litters.
Pup fee is a fraction of normal puppy price (I do 500). Breeder will give bonus per litter (I gift guardian 500 per litter). Generally contracts are for 4-5 litters.
Guardian is responsible for all normal care and training of dog just like any other pet. Breeder pays all breeding related expenses and all care while guardian dog is in my care. Dog will go stay with Breeder during breeding time for a week or two to be bred, and then again about a week prior to whelping and until pups are fully weaned, usually for about 7 weeks.
After agreed upon number of litters are completed, full ownership is transferred to guardian.
